Banana, Nut & Honey Breakfast Bagels
This morning I wanted a bagel for breakfast, but we didn’t have any cream cheese or anything. I started thinking about healthy things I could use for a bagel topping and thought I would mush up some banana and see how it tasted. I honestly loved it!
Ingredients:
- 1 bagel, sliced and toasted
- 1-2 ripe bananas, mushed
- nuts (sunflower seeds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- honey, as desired
Directions:
- Slice bagels in half and toast in the toaster.
- Peel bananas and place into a medium bowl.
- Mush the bananas with a potato masher, fork or meat tenderizer.
- Put the mushed banana on the bagel and sprinkle with nuts.
- Drizzle with honey and eat!
A delicious way to eat a bagel that is much healthier than cream cheese. Einstein bagels have nothing on this!
