This year I bought a couple of packages of candy canes for our tree and I just didn’t even know what to do with the leftovers. I was looking in my cupboard for something cheap and quick when it donned on me that I have the things to make smores, but instead of chocolate I could use crushed peppermint candy canes. Feel free to leave a comment about these!
Ingredients:
- graham crackers
- marshmallows
- crushed peppermint (or whatever you have) candy canes
Directions:
- Put 1-2 candy canes in a plastic ziploc bag. Using a meat mallet or hammer, crush until you get the desired consistency. If you want a little more crunch, leave the pieces bigger.
- Put marshmallow on graham cracker and sprinkle with crushed peppermint.
- Microwave on high for at least 30 seconds. Watch carefully.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Tip: Let the kids help, they’ll love these.
