Pancakes with Fruit, Berries and Chocolate
Our family loves pancakes. My husband used to dislike them though, honestly. That all changed when I added some frozen blueberries to the pancake mix. There are all kinds of different mix-ins you can add. Here are some suggestions, and feel free to adjust the amounts to how much fruit or berry flavors you prefer:
- 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or strawberries
- 1 ripe banana, mashed with a fork
- 1 cup diced peaches
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
You can even add 1/2 cup or more of chocolate chips, or other chocolate candies. *Make sure to pay attention to the thickness of the pancake batter, so it is not too watery - add more pancake mix if needed. We usually make the maximum amount of pancakes from the box, so we have enough left over to enjoy the following day. You can also have pancakes for dinner, we usually do!
