Inexpensive Creamed Ground Beef on Toast

I think this is probably one of the cheapest recipes using ground beef that I’ve ever made. It’s incredibly easy, not to mention delicious, too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 beef bouillion cube
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper and beef bouillion.
  3. Saute for about 5 minutes, until the flour has been absorbed fully.
  4. Gradually stir in milk and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  6. Cook until thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
  7. Serve over toast.
  8. Tip: Use ground turkey instead of beef to cut out fat and save money!
