Inexpensive Creamed Ground Beef on Toast
Similar cheap, affordable recipes: Beef, Meals Under $5, TurkeyI think this is probably one of the cheapest recipes using ground beef that I’ve ever made. It’s incredibly easy, not to mention delicious, too!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 beef bouillion cube
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour, salt, pepper and beef bouillion.
- Saute for about 5 minutes, until the flour has been absorbed fully.
- Gradually stir in milk and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Cook until thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
- Serve over toast.
- Tip: Use ground turkey instead of beef to cut out fat and save money!
